About Us
Who We Are
We are the independent editorial team behind australiafriendshipchess.org. Our work focuses on researching, reviewing, and publishing information about pokies venues and related topics for readers across Australia. Please note that we are an information and review website only — we are not a gambling operator, we do not accept bets or wagers, and we do not provide gambling services of any kind.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: to help readers in Australia make informed, safe choices when searching for "pokies near me". We aim to cut through the noise by providing clear, honest, and up-to-date information so that you can decide what suits you best — whether that means finding a venue, understanding how pokies work, or knowing where to seek help.

Editorial Independence
To keep our content free for readers, we may earn affiliate commissions when you follow links to third-party services mentioned on our site. We want to be fully transparent about this: commissions do not influence our editorial rankings, ratings, or reviews. Our opinions are our own, and every piece of content is written with the reader's interests first.
Our Commitment to Responsible Gambling
Gambling should always be treated as a form of entertainment — never as a way to make money or solve financial problems. Our content is intended strictly for readers aged 18 or over, or of the legal gambling age in their local jurisdiction. We encourage all readers to set limits, take breaks, and gamble only what they can afford to lose. If gambling stops being fun, we urge you to seek support from professional services such as Gambling Help Online or your local support organisation.
